Archipelago Identity

We combined our thoughts about the concept for the book and I had the idea that in the same way that the course in the sea that connects the artists, our book needs to act is a similar way, to be the body of matter that connects the individual practice of the artists. In this respect the book itself is the sea. This gave us the idea to use a nautical theme for the book. We want to make reference to the sea but not to be too overt with the suggestions. After playing around with some typefaces, we identified avant garde as a typeface that communicates a contemporary feel and can also have a nautical theme when set widely with a blue colour. The Ships wheel looks nice but could be too obvious.
