Fine Art Poster Variations

I wan't completely happy with the layout of the poster I put together for the Fine Art Exhibition. I thought it might be interesting to play with the idea of North and South on a map to keep with the geological theme. I think when the Leeds details are at the top and the London details are at the bottom it works really nicely aesthetically and conceptually.

Archipelago Poster

For Submission I think it would be a really good idea to also mock up an exhibition poster that could go with the book and flyer. This is my first attempt at putting all the information onto one side. I've kept the basic look of the front cover because I think this has worked really, well then just put in a simple 4 column along the bottom to hold the copy.

Developing Overprint Posters

Whilst I think that the CMYK overlap in the context of print has been done to death. I really think it suits the style of the poster and definitely fits with the company name of Overprint. The idea would be that this could come on its own for display or alternatively folded in the mailout as it brings together all the postcards into a list.

Fine Art Proofs Sign Off

Managed to capture on camera the momentus moment we signed off the Fine Art Yearbook and hoped for 2,500 pounds that we havent got any spelling mistakes.

Shapes 4

Looking at how text might work over the top. I think some of these look quite interesting and dutch, maybe I should look at the work impossibility in some other languages. But I'm not sure whether they are detracting from the strength of the patterns.

Shapes 3

Looking at how the patterns could use colour or even overlay to create a more confusing effect. I think the gradient works well but it's been done so many times I think it's lost it's speciality a bit. When overlayed I like how the colours multiply but the shapes become to confusing to follow.

Shapes 2

Experimenting with extending the shapes into one another to create almost impossible patterns, through looking closely at how the shapes work and how they can be interlinked and repeated. I'm really pleased with how these have turned out.
